1. Or How I Almost Washed a Sock in Italy
When you first step into an Italian bathroom, it might look like a modern sanitary exhibition.
Three fixtures. Two of them are clear: toilet and sink. And then… the third one. Bidet.
A mysterious porcelain throne that looks important, but few know with certainty what to do with it.
And some decide to improvise.
Yes, I'm talking about washing socks. Bathing pets. A personal fountain.
All those bizarre uses that no Italian would ever dare, because… they just know.
2. "Warning! This device is not intended for washing or swimming."
Yes, dear Mediterranean visitors. The sign says it clearly – but who ever reads it?
That's exactly why this visual manifesto was created. Our hero Pagáč holds a map of Italy in one hand, a sock in the other
and a sad expression suggests this is not the way.
What's missing, though, is education. Gentle, funny, and a bit strict.
Because bidet is not a challenge. Bidet is an opportunity.
And if he can – so can you.
3. From Porcelain to Understanding
Bidet is a symbol of cultural difference, but also an invitation to comfort.
In a country where espresso is drunk standing up and fashion is more than religion, it's no wonder that even hygiene has its style.
Whether you have a personal relationship with it or avoid it – this article is your peaceful slap.
And a small design attempt to say: "Accept the bidet. Or at least stop washing socks in it."
"Advanced Bidet Extension"
(or what they'll never tell you in a bathroom catalog)
- 1. "Every Pagáč needs a bidet."
- 2. "What is that?" – Conversation ended. Love canceled.
- 3. "Where the architect can't reach, the hose will."
- 4. "Drought in the land? Maybe. But not in the bathroom."
- 5. "If Rome can have a bidet, so can the suburbs."
- 6. "Bidet is not a minibar. But still wash only the best in it."
Manifesto of Bidetism™
(or why every backside deserves a drop of attention)
- 1. "Where the architect can't reach, the hose will."
- 2. "If Rome can have a bidet, so can the suburbs."
- 3. "Drought in the land? Maybe. But not in the bathroom."
- 4. "Less scents, more lukewarm truth."
- 5. "Bidet is not an extravagance. It's a privilege."
It's written with water, truth, and a bit of shame.
FAQ Section
Q: Do you have a bidet?
A: I have self-respect. So yes.
Q: Is it for feet?
A: No. But you can step in it if you want to experience a cultural faux pas.
Q: How to use it?
A: Gently. Calmly. And not with socks.
Q: What if we don't have space?
A: You have an Ikea shelf, an aroma lamp, and a bathtub the size of Iceland. You have space. You don't have priorities.
And bidet is a way to live it tastefully.
