Pagáč swapped his delicate chiton for a more practical tunic, threw a purple toga over his shoulder — because in Rome, colour matters — and instead of marble, began studying Roman concrete.

The Invention of the Vault and Dome
Pagáč looks at the Pantheon and declares: "This is exactly what a perfectly risen loaf looks like from above! That hole in the middle? That's obviously ventilation for the finest interior scent."
Bath Culture — Wellness Design
Pagáč discovers the Romans love warmth. He begins designing underfloor heating (hypocaustum) for them, working on the same principle as his ovens. "A house must warm from the feet, not just from the sun," he explains to the Senate.
Panem et Circenses — Bread and Games
Pagáč attempts to improve the interior of the Colosseum. He proposes more comfortable seat cushioning and begins selling the first "designer snack" into the arena.
Monumentality vs. Detail
While emperors want giant arches, Pagáč quietly starts smuggling in details that soften the concrete brutality.

Setting: The centre of Rome. Marble temples all around, smoke from sacrifices and the noise of the crowd. Emperor Marcus Aurelius stands before an unfinished triumphal arch, looking displeased.
Emperor:
"Pagáč, my engineers have built a monument that will endure for ages. It is concrete, it is power, it is Rome! But… something is missing. It is cold. People look at it and feel no pride, only fatigue."
Pagáč Chronodesigner:
(leans against a marble column and brushes dust from his tunic)
"You see, Your Majesty, concrete is indeed an excellent invention – by the way, the volcanic ash in it is almost as fine as my flour from Campania – but you have forgotten the most important detail. A monument without scent and warmth is just dead stone. People don't only need to see power, they need to feel home."
Emperor:
"And what do you propose? Shall we clad the arch in wood?"
Pagáč:
"Not at all. We shall make it the first Aromatic Pylon. Into the foundations of the arch we'll build ovens that will heat the floor of the adjacent baths. And the vents will lead through openings in the reliefs directly to the people.
Imagine it: legionnaires return from battle, pass beneath your victory, and the first thing they smell is fresh bread with rosemary."
This is not just an arch. This is the embrace of the empire.
Emperor:
(nods approvingly)
"Pagáč, you are not just a baker. You are an architect of the soul. From tomorrow you are appointed Praefectus Pistrinum – Supreme Overseer of the Fluffiness of Rome."
