Workshop Terms & Conditions

1. General Provisions

These Terms and Conditions (hereinafter "T&C") govern the contractual relationship between the organiser and the participant of creative workshops held under the Grain of Design brand.

By submitting a registration for a workshop and subsequently paying the participation fee, the participant confirms that they have read these Terms and Conditions and agree to them.

2. Registration and Formation of Contract

• A place can be reserved via e-mail or through the online registration form.
• The contractual relationship between the organiser and the participant is formed at the moment the organiser confirms the registration.
• A participant's place is bindingly reserved once the full participation fee has been credited to the organiser's bank account.
• Workshop capacity is limited. Places are allocated in the order in which payments are received.

3. Pricing and Payment

• The workshop fee is always stated for each specific date.
• Payment is made by bank transfer to the account provided in the confirmation e-mail.
• The participant must include the correct variable symbol (reference number) if one has been assigned.
• Upon receipt of payment, the participant will receive a confirmation of their binding reservation.
• An invoice will be issued automatically to participants who are business entities. Other participants may request an invoice (tax document) upon request.

4. Cancellation Policy

If a participant is unable to attend a workshop, they must notify the organiser by e-mail as soon as possible.

The following cancellation conditions apply:

• More than 7 days before the workshop – full refund (100%) of the participation fee.
• Between 7 days and 48 hours before the workshop – 50% refund, or by mutual agreement, a voucher for the full amount valid for another workshop.
• Less than 48 hours before the workshop – the participation fee is non-refundable.

A participant may at any time send a substitute free of charge. The substitute's name must be communicated by e-mail in advance.

In exceptional circumstances (e.g. sudden illness or serious family reasons), an alternative arrangement may be agreed individually. Grain of Design always aims to find a fair solution for both parties.

5. Changes or Cancellation by the Organiser

Grain of Design reserves the right to change the date, venue, or cancel a workshop, in particular due to:

• illness of the instructor,
• adverse weather conditions (for outdoor workshops),
• failure to reach the minimum number of participants,
• force majeure or other unforeseeable circumstances.

A workshop takes place with a minimum of three participants, unless otherwise stated for a specific event.

Participants will be informed of any changes by e-mail or telephone without undue delay.

If a workshop is cancelled, an alternative date will be offered. If the alternative date does not suit the participant, or if no alternative can be offered, the full amount paid will be refunded within 14 days.

6. Venue and Workshop Programme

• Workshops take place at the Grain of Design studio or at another venue announced in advance.
• Participants will receive detailed logistical information before the workshop.
• All materials and tools needed for the creative work are included in the workshop fee.
• Studio workshops include water, tea, coffee and light refreshments.
• If a participant has a food intolerance or allergy, we recommend letting us know in advance.
• We recommend comfortable clothing suitable for creative work.
• The organiser is not responsible for ordinary staining or wear of clothing caused by working with art materials.

The workshop is designed as a shared creative gathering in a small group. Grain of Design reserves the right to exclude a person whose behaviour seriously disrupts the workshop or endangers other participants. In such a case, no refund of the participation fee will be issued.

7. Who the Workshops Are For

• Standard workshops are open to adults, students and young creatives aged 15 and over.
• Persons under the age of 15 may attend only when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, or within the framework of workshops specifically designated for children.

8. Photography

Photographs and short video recordings may be taken during the workshop to capture the event. These materials may be used for promotional purposes for the Grain of Design brand on its website, social media or marketing materials.

If a participant does not wish to be photographed or filmed, they simply need to mention this upon arrival. Their wishes will be fully respected.

9. Liability

• Participants are required to follow the instructor's guidance, particularly when working with tools and materials.
• Each participant is responsible for their personal belongings throughout the workshop.
• Grain of Design is not liable for the loss or damage of items brought by participants.

10. Alternative Dispute Resolution

If a consumer dispute arises between the organiser and a participant (consumer) that cannot be resolved by mutual agreement, the participant may contact the following alternative dispute resolution body:

11. Protection of Personal Data

Participants' personal data is processed solely for the purpose of organising workshops, communicating with participants and fulfilling legal obligations. Further details are set out in the Privacy Policy available on the Grain of Design website.

12. Final Provisions

These Terms and Conditions are valid and effective from the date of their publication on the Grain of Design website. The version of the Terms and Conditions in force on the date a participant submits their registration is binding for that participant.

For corporate workshops, team-building events, schools or closed groups, individual conditions different from these Terms and Conditions may be agreed by mutual consent.

Should a situation arise that is not expressly covered by these Terms and Conditions, Grain of Design will always endeavour to find an individual and fair solution with respect for both parties.

These Terms and Conditions take effect on 5 July 2026.
